About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Integration and Platform Services to join our team at Virgin Australia. As a key member of our Technology function, you will play a critical role in evolving and maintaining our Integration Platforms to drive business agility, accelerate modernisation, and unlock efficiencies across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for building, enhancing, and maintaining the Integration Platform as a foundation for supporting business applications
  • Maintain currency in technology trends and standards, including security and compliance requirements such as Privacy, GDPR, and PCI
  • Build, lead, support, and manage a team of technical designers, developers, and platform engineers
  • Resource and orchestrate work across multiple Business Domains and projects
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters' qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Extensive experience in an IT Leadership role responsible for engineering and support of enterprise integration platforms
  • Sound understanding of microservices technology and architecture
About You

You will be great in this role if you have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale integration platform initiatives. Your expertise in technology resource management, API/integration/microservice principles, and patterns will be valuable assets to our team.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including discounted flights, flexible work arrangements, and access to top-notch training and development opportunities.
