Job Opportunity: Delivering High-Quality Food Services

The role of the Hospital Assistant is a dynamic and supportive position within the Hotel Services Department at our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a small team, providing exceptional food services to inpatients and outpatients.

This varied role involves assisting with the receipt, preparation, serving and clearing of food in the hospital kitchen environment or kiosk as required. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-level customer service, interacting effectively with healthcare professionals and providing support to patients and their families.

  • Assist with food preparation, presentation and delivery to meet the needs of patients and guests.
  • Prepare food for hospital functions and sale/service at the kiosk, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a courteous, respectful and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the hotel services manager and other healthcare teams to achieve departmental objectives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Knowledge and application of food safety, handling and hygiene procedures.
  • Proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well supervised, within a team and independently following schedules and instructions.
