Medical Practitioner Forensic Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Practitioner to join our team as a Casual Medical Practitioner/Consultant in North Adelaide.
This is a 12-month casual on-call contract, with the classification based on the experience and qualifications of the applicant. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide high-quality community-based forensic medical services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide medicolegal examinations for women and men who have experienced sexual assault.
- Document and report findings for use within the legal system.
- Provide expert evidence regarding sexual assault issues and injury causation for the courts.
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
- Experience in acute medical assessment, particularly in emergency departments or acute medical settings.
- Knowledge of contemporary practice, issues, and research in relation to sexual assault medicine and interpersonal violence.
