We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Medical Service Specialist to join our team on a 12-month casual contract.

Job Description

">

As a Forensic Medical Service Specialist, you will provide high-quality community-based forensic medical services, using evidence-based practice, including medicolegal examinations for women and men who have experienced sexual assault.

">

You will be responsible for providing documentation and reports for use within the legal system and expert evidence regarding sexual assault issues and injury causation for the courts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">
  • ">
  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent">
  • Registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration">
  • Acute medical assessment experience in an Emergency Department or other acute medical setting">
  • Women's health experience, particularly in performing anogenital examinations">
  • Knowledge of contemporary practice, issues, and research in relation to sexual assault medicine and interpersonal violence">
  • Feminist analysis commitment relating to people who have experienced rape and/or sexual assault">
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills">
