We're seeking an experienced Senior Renewable Energy Specialist to lead our team in delivering solutions for the renewable energy industry. The ideal candidate will have a high-level understanding of energy yield assessments and experience in design review, verification, and assessment of renewable energy plants.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct site visits, inspections, and root cause analyses (RCAs) for solar/wind/BESS projects
- Develop and implement high-level energy yield assessments
- Review and verify designs for renewable energy plants, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with EPC, O&M, and module supply agreement contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Perform technical due diligence, construction monitoring, and payment milestone authorization for wind, solar, and BESS projects
- Manage projects as the owner's or lender's engineer, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders
- Demonstrate expertise in wind project development, a plus
- Lead engineering sub-consultants to meet client requirements, facilitating information sharing across international offices
- Maintain open communication with engineers from other international offices, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Liaise with clients, developing and reviewing their requirements, managing expectations, and keeping them informed of project progress
- Present BV at renewable energy conferences and events, representing our organization and advancing our interests
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a Master's preferred. Essential experience includes working as an owner's or lender's engineer in a consultancy environment. Ability to work under pressure is essential, with 20-30% travel required for this role.
