We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and engineer renewable power facilities, including battery energy storage systems and balance of plant design for renewable generation.

Responsibilities include collaborating with project teams to develop specifications and scope of work documents, preparing detailed engineering design reports, and performing feasibility studies for integrating renewable energy sources, energy storage, and other emerging technologies into transmission and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer renewable power facilities, including battery energy storage systems and balance of plant design.
  • Develop specifications and scope of work documents.
  • Prepare detailed engineering design reports.
  • Perform feasibility studies for integrating renewable energy sources, energy storage, and other emerging technologies.
  • Provide technical support to project managers and clients.
  • Create drawing packages in conjunction with the drafting team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a consulting, development or power utility environment.
  • Sound understanding of industry codes and standards related to power.
  • Experience in building services, mining, LV or MV design, with HV Substations experience being well regarded.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting technical information.
  • Proactive approach to building client relationships through listening and effective communication.
  • Project management and bid management experience.
