  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic in-house legal team, reporting to the General Counsel.

Job Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive legal advice and support to key internal stakeholders, including the Owners Department, Property Division (65+ properties), Leadership Team, Executive Committee, General Counsel, and Commercial Departments.
  • Managing legal matters by offering expert advice, preparing, and reviewing contracts and other legal documentation.
  • Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing corporate, sponsorship, software-related, and other commercial agreements, including hotel management and operational contracts.
  • Supporting the legal team in managing agreements related to the acquisition or divestment of hotels, including purchase and sale agreements.
  • Preparing, renewing, and assigning MLR Agreements, leases, HMAs, and franchise agreements as required.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Law or Law/Commerce.
  • Admission to practice as a solicitor in Queensland.
  • At least 10 years of post-admission experience, with demonstrated expertise in Property Law or Hotel Law highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, managers, staff, external counsel, and regulatory bodies in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and exceptional phone and computer skills.
