About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel and Company Secretary. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in negotiating and preparing commercial contracts, providing expert legal advice and acting as a primary point of contact for senior managers on all legal matters affecting the Bolton Clarke Group.
This is a rare opportunity to join the in-house legal team of Australia's largest aged care provider and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality care and services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
Advise on a wide range of areas including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, commercial, construction, ICT, property, privacy, retirement villages and aged care.
Provide expert legal advice to senior managers on corporate projects, including strategic transactions and business transformation initiatives.
Assist internal clients in identifying, understanding and managing legal risks and issues.
Effectively manage the provision of advice by external legal providers where required.
Brief the General Counsel on significant legal matters.

Requirements
We are looking for an experienced lawyer with 5-15 years post-admission experience in a law firm or in-house legal team, practising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate, construction, property, aged care or retirement village law. Previous commercial, property or aged care/retirement village law experience is desirable.
A demonstrated ability to provide concise advice and research on a broad range of legal issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, excellent time management skills and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
