Endoscopy Surgical Liaison Nurse

The Endoscopy Surgical Liaison Nurse is a key role within our hospital, responsible for the efficient management of endoscopy preparation lists according to planned surgery access policy. This position involves streamlining the planned admission process and reducing wait times for procedures.

This includes coordinating the transition of care for patients undergoing endoscopy, liaising with staff and other stakeholders to ensure effective case management. The role also involves monitoring cancellations, arranging follow-up appointments, and prioritizing Category 1 patients for treatment within 30 days.

Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor of Nursing, meeting registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. A minimum of three years' postgraduate experience in acute surgical or endoscopy nursing is essential. Additionally, a current National criminal history check is required.
