About Our OpportunityThis is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team that leads on national resilience policy and strategy. You will be working on some of the most important challenges Australia faces, including developing a National Resilience Framework and enhancing Commonwealth crisis response and recovery capabilities.
About Our TeamThe National Resilience Taskforce is a collaborative environment where you will work with industry, academic, and not-for-profit stakeholders as well as whole-of-Government partners. Your Key Responsibilities- Provide policy, professional, and/or technical advice in relation to complex and sensitive issues;
- Prepare briefing, meeting materials, correspondence, presentations, and minutes under limited direction;
- Use written and verbal communication to work in a dynamic team environment and engage with a variety of stakeholders;
- Liaise collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate responses to complex policy, project, or operational issues;
- Mentor and coach others, providing guidance that builds their capabilities and capacity.
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual who can apply sound judgement and commitment to contribute to innovative policy outcomes. The successful candidate will have strong subject matter expertise, confident and able communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
EligibilityTo be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian citizen. You will also need to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $77,642.00 - $83,632.00 per year, plus superannuation benefits. The Department of Home Affairs offers flexible working conditions, opportunities for career growth and development, and a supportive work environment.
