Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide policy, professional, and/or technical advice in relation to complex and sensitive issues;
  • Prepare briefing, meeting materials, correspondence, presentations, and minutes under limited direction;
  • Use written and verbal communication to work in a dynamic team environment and engage with a variety of stakeholders;
  • Liaise collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate responses to complex policy, project, or operational issues;
  • Mentor and coach others, providing guidance that builds their capabilities and capacity.

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual who can apply sound judgement and commitment to contribute to innovative policy outcomes. The successful candidate will have strong subject matter expertise, confident and able communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian citizen. You will also need to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $77,642.00 - $83,632.00 per year, plus superannuation benefits. The Department of Home Affairs offers flexible working conditions, opportunities for career growth and development, and a supportive work environment.
