About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Accountant to join our team at Kapitol Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Financial Controller and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analysis.
  • Support statutory reporting and accounts, including annual budgets and financial audits.
  • Contribute to project and month-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Manage and maintain our ERP system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheets, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Administer the General Ledger and Fixed Asset Register, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate and prepare tax submissions, including FBT.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial support and guidance to the team.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for corporate accounting and a strong understanding of financial principles.
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or equivalent, with a CPA or CA qualification desirable.
  • Circa 3+ years' experience in a similar project-based accounting role, with experience with Jobpac or other construction accounting software preferred.
  • High level of proficiency with MS Excel and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan ahead, and handle competing priorities.
