About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Category Brand Manager to join our team at MECCA Brands Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Merchandise function, you will be responsible for driving the success of our Make-Up category through sales, profitability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic agenda to drive change and boost long-term success of Make-Up at MECCA
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with global makeup brand partners
  • Seek growth opportunities to exceed customer expectations
  • Prepare monthly reporting and sales forecasting to boost profitability and long-term excellence
  • Work with Marketing, Digital, and Loyalty to coordinate go-to-market initiatives around new brand launches
  • Coach, develop, and mentor team members within the Merchandise function
  • Champion key department-wide projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Extensive prior buying and brand management experience in finished goods
  • Passion for our customers
  • Ability to demonstrate developed and implemented category and brand strategies to ensure long-term and lasting growth
  • Well-honed rapport-building and interpersonal skills as a master relationship-builder with leading global brands
  • Previous team leadership experience, inspiring and engaging a high performing team
  • Commercially astute and experienced in owning and driving P&L efficiencies
  • Previous experience building high performing teams with strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • A strong negotiator of outcomes to benefit all parties and deliver commercially on all sides
  • Extensively worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Digital, and Finance
