Job Summary

Role Overview

The Senior Physiotherapist is responsible for overseeing and delivering physiotherapy services to patients undergoing surgical, orthopaedic and rehabilitation treatments at a hospital. This involves coordinating patient care before admission, during inpatient stays, and post-discharge.

Main Responsibilities

  • Clinical leadership of patient treatment plans, ensuring safe and effective outcomes
  • Mentoring and guiding a team of physiotherapists to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Fostering relationships with healthcare professionals and community groups to improve service delivery
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to maintain excellence in patient care

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration with the relevant healthcare regulatory agency
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in physiotherapy, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
