Personal Care Assistant - Aged Care
Delivering high-quality personal care and support to older adults requires a compassionate approach. At our residential aged care facility, we are seeking an experienced Personal Care Assistant to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobilisation.
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, and report any changes to the relevant staff members.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver person-centred care.
Requirements:
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support (Aged Care).
- Experience in providing personal care to older adults, preferably in a residential aged care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and build rapport with residents.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of older adults.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
