The Director of Research Services plays a pivotal role in fostering a strong service-oriented culture within the University's Research Services department. About the Role

This strategic leadership position requires an individual with exceptional management and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of the research services landscape. The Director provides guidance and direction to build a high-performing, service-oriented Research Services team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to deliver high-impact support services to researchers and HDR candidates.
  • Act as a key advisor to senior leaders, delivering high-level, evidence-based insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing across departments, driving a culture of innovation and best practice.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Postgraduate qualification with extensive relevant experience in research services or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams, driving results and achieving goals.
  • Expertise in research services, including grants and contracts, ethics applications, HDR, policy, and ongoing training.
