Job Title: Transport Administrator

Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Transport Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily delivery activities. This involves the timely and professional delivery of appliances to customers' premises, with a focus on Safety, Service, Cost, and Team alignment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate transportation activities, including the movement of goods and personnel, to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with drivers and customers to ensure seamless transportation operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Manage and update transportation databases and records accurately, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for transportation-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, providing timely and effective support.
  • Collaborate with other departments, warehouse, and customer service to optimize transportation processes and improve overall performance.
  • Review and approve contractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Follow up on missing payments, manifests, and outstanding return orders, resolving any issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in transport and logistics, with a strong understanding of transportation operations and logistics management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving targets and improving performance.
  • Intermediate level computer literacy, including proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and large ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to accurately manage and update transportation databases and records.
  • Good multitasking skills and experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
