We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Consultant to join our team at Mediix. As a Paediatric Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality paediatric care, including neonatal resuscitation and general paediatric consultations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Deliver high-quality paediatric care, including neonatal resuscitation and general paediatric consultations.
    • Conduct baby checks, rapid access clinics, and general paediatric clinics.
    • Participate in on-call services on a 1:5 rotation, including after-hours coverage.
    • Maintain clinical records and coordinate follow-up care for hospital patients.
    • Engage in clinical audits, safety activities, and service planning meetings.
  • Teaching & Education:
    • Support and contribute to continuing education programs in maternity services.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Prepare reports and adhere to hospital policies and administrative guidelines.
    • Participate in performance appraisals and mandatory training.
    • Seek leave approval and engage in necessary administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
    • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or equivalent.
    • Eligible for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of South Australia.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Extensive experience in paediatric care, including newborns and general paediatrics.
    • Commitment to high standards of medical practice and quality improvement.
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
