Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including servicing, repair, and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment.

You will work on a 14/7 roster and live for challenges, thriving on the variety of work available. Your experience in automotive trade and post-trade experience in Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry will be valuable assets to our team.

In this role, you will source technical information from reference manuals, OEM, and computer-based systems. You will ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times and provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.

Conducting technical inspections and job estimations is also a critical part of your responsibilities.

About the Role
  • Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment according to established procedures.
  • Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change outs to a high standard.
  • Source technical information from reference manuals, OEM, and computer-based systems.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
  • Conduct technical inspections and job estimations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Automotive Trade (Light Vehicle Mechanical) or relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Post-trade experience in Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry.
  • Desired experience in Vehicle Air Conditioning systems.
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs, and servicing of Toyota vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols and procedures.
