Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical practitioner to fill the role of Staff Specialist in Neurology.

This position involves working within the Department of Neurology, with obligations to both Gosford Hospital and Wyong Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurology, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

The successful applicant will be required to possess recognised specialist qualifications, including fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent recognition. They will also need to demonstrate interest in quality improvement methodologies, commitment to caring for the coast vision, goals and strategies, and alignment with NSW CORE values and CCLHD Values and Behaviours charter.

The position requires the ability to lead and supervise medical and surgical trainees, residents and medical students, as well as teach the management of the deteriorating patient. Experience in headache management, particularly subspecialty interest in this area, is highly desirable.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award, with opportunities for salary packaging available to enhance benefits. Relevant criminal record checks will be undertaken on recommended applicants, and employment is subject to current immunisation status that complies with assessment, screening & vaccination against specified infectious diseases.
