You don't need to wear a uniform or serve at sea to have an exciting engineering career. If you're currently studying towards a four-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or have already graduated, you can apply for our Engineer Development Program.
Key Responsibilities- Work on research, design, documentation and providing technical advice and specialist engineering support to various Navy projects.
- Rotate through different departments to gain experience in areas such as Cyber Systems, Electronic Warfare & Radar, Weapon Systems, Data Networks and Mine Counter Measure Systems.
This is an opportunity to grow and develop your professional career within the Department of Defence.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A minimum four-year Bachelor's degree in engineering, recognised in Australia.
- Specialisation in fields such as Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Communications, Robotics Autonomous Systems, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Civil/Infrastructure.

This is a 3-year program consisting of work experience rotations where you'll be involved in a range of engineering activities. You'll complete 4 rotations within Navy and 1 rotation with a Defence Industry partner.
