Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Health Promotion Specialist to join our team in Wallsend or Tamworth. As a Health Promotion Specialist, you will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion programs that prevent and reduce harm from communicable and non-communicable diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with partner organizations across diverse settings to provide services that promote health and well-being
- Develop and implement health promotion programs that are evidence-based and culturally sensitive
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and government agencies to achieve shared goals
- Conduct needs assessments, analyze data, and evaluate program effectiveness
- Provide training and support to community members, healthcare staff, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health, social science, or related discipline
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in health promotion, program development, and evaluation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
