About the Role
As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in advocating safe work practices, monitoring operations to eliminate hazardous activities, and developing policies to promote occupational health and safety awareness. You will report to the Safety Manager and Project Director, working closely with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks
- Direct accident investigation procedures
- Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
Requirements
- Minimum Cert IV in OH&S
- Proven experience as a safety officer or similar is advantageous
- Excellent communication and advisory skills
- Diligent with an analytical mind
