Job Description

VenuesWest is seeking an Education Project Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-level strategic management support to the Assistant Executive Director, Examinations, Certification and Testing through the leadership, development, implementation, coordination, and management of projects, programs, and initiatives.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $128,077 - $136,891 per annum (pro-rata) (PSCA 2022). We offer a range of benefits, including:

Key Responsibilities

The Education Project Lead will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-level advice in relation to current issues and initiatives
  • Undertaking research, reviews, and analyses of organisational policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to Kindergarten to Year 12 curriculum, assessment, and certification
  • Initiating and leading complex projects, including leading project teams to deliver outcomes within budget and agreed timeframes
  • Managing reports on project tasks, progressing risks, and issues, and providing advice and recommendations on risk mitigation and process improvements

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of current trends, initiatives, and reforms in education, particularly the Kindergarten to Year 12 student achievement and certification policies
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in undertaking high-level consultations, collaborations, and negotiations
  • Highly developed written communication skills, including extensive experience in preparing reports, briefing notes, and speeches
  • Able to provide leadership and work collaboratively to manage a range of complex projects and issues
  • Highly developed organisational skills with a proven ability to deliver outcomes on schedule in a demanding environment and under tight timeframes
