Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery aligns with objectives and quality standards.
  • Prepare detailed Project Management Plans outlining objectives, deliverables, resources, schedules, and risks.
  • Provide leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration, communication, and alignment of activities.
  • Apply PMI standards across all project activities; develop precise schedules; manage budgets; implement Earned Value Management to monitor performance and forecast progress.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues; report status, earned value metrics, and progress to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Engage with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders; communicate expectations, updates, and outcomes effectively.

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience in Project Management in Defence or regulated environments; knowledge of Defence Acquisition and Sustainment contracts.
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Specialised knowledge of naval sensor systems (e.g., optronics, IR tracking).
  • Proven project management track record with on-time, on-budget, and quality results.
  • Analytical skills in risk assessment and performance measurement.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
