This national civil contracting business is a major force in Australia's civil construction sector, specializing in the construction of transport infrastructure, including road projects for state road authorities.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the project delivery team and be based out of the Perth CBD office, traveling to site regularly to stay on top of the project. You will have flexibility to manage your own site travel and presence, but it will be important to maintain a strong site presence to manage the client and your team's motivation and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the MRWA project in Western Australia's Pilbara region
- Lead project teams to plan and build scopes of work such as roads, highways, and passing lanes, on time, and within budget
- Manage the client interface and foster a strong working relationship with client representatives
- Develop and implement strategies to promote profitability and positive cashflow
- Ensure excellent financial management and cost reporting skills
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years' post graduate civil industry experience
- Proven success as a Project Manager on Australian road/pavement construction projects for civil contractors
- Thorough working knowledge of AS2124 Contracts standards
- Experience on MRWA or other Australian state road authority projects will be highly regarded
