Job Opportunity: Clinical Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinical consultant to join our team. As a key member of our consultation liaison service, you will provide tertiary level consultative services to NSW public inpatient services caring for individuals experiencing extreme behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and operation of our statewide clinical consultation and liaison service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consultation Services: Provide tertiary level consultative services to NSW public inpatient services caring for individuals experiencing extreme BPSD.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a small team with opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • Service Development: Participate in planning and service development to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Clinical Expertise: Possess registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
  • Certification: Certificate in Old Age Psychiatry.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel across various Local Health District Regions and provide team-based CL services within inpatient settings.
  • Professional Knowledge: Sound knowledge of principles of Recovery based clinical practice and integrated Mental Health Care.
