A high-profile On Highway Supervisor opportunity exists for an experienced or developing leader to join our dynamic team in a key role, driving service excellence and customer value.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional with advanced knowledge of heavy engine related business to lead our Mackay service operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Quality Assurance and proven ability to motivate and coach employees to achieve individual department and team goals.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leading a safe, efficient and productive service operation;
  • Supervising, coordinating, planning and controlling the Mackay service operation;
  • Attracting, developing and retaining a highly skilled and dedicated service team;
  • Understanding and implementing OEM process and procedures;
  • Assisting the Service Manager with the development and expansion of the Service Department Business Plan;
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service by monitoring trends and implementing necessary improvements;
  • Providing effective communication to the workshop employees via daily toolbox meetings;
  • Planning for the future of the department and implementing actions to ensure continued growth and development aligns with strategic planning.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading transportation solutions provider, offering a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Requirements

To be successful, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated a commitment to safe working practices;
  • Completed appropriate trade and/or management qualifications evidencing a focus on developing high performing teams;
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the heavy engine related business or similar;
  • Advanced knowledge of Penske brands Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle, MTU, Detroit & Allison;
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment with strong customer facing responsibilities;
  • A strong understanding and working knowledge of Quality Assurance;
  • A team player who will adhere to and promote the Company's Values & Behaviours.
