**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Ground Services Manager to lead our Mackay Airport operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of outstanding service standards for Oceania Ground Force, ensuring safety and compliance with Airline and Company Standard Operating Procedures. Your primary objective will be to foster strong relationships with our valued airline customers, based on trust, respect, and exceeding their expectations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead a team of over 15 employees, promoting a culture of inclusivity, equity, and diversity.* Manage functional relationships with airport stakeholders, providing transparent and timely communication on daily operational performance.* Drive, enforce, and manage Safety and Compliance standards, innovatively addressing challenges while consistently exceeding Airline Customer expectations.* Recruit and develop staff, fostering a Just Culture that promotes incident reporting and prevents threats to Safety and Compliance.* Effectively communicate Safety and Compliance updates through regular toolbox meetings, efficiently planning and scheduling daily resources to minimize overtime.* Oversee regular Airline and Company audits, presenting feedback and results to key stakeholders.* Prepare comprehensive reports on safety and incident investigations, generating valuable insights for continuous improvement.
**Requirements:**
A minimum of 3 years' experience in Ground Handling Services at an Australian Airport and 5 years' experience in people management, with a strong ability to confidently and effectively manage people. A deep understanding of Airport Regulations and Compliance, as well as proficiency in Australian Employee Relations legislation. Exceptional leadership qualities, empowering individuals and building effective teams. Resilience in overcoming operational and workforce challenges. Strong communication skills, including articulation, decision-making, and influence. Impeccable grooming and professional deportment. Trustworthiness in handling sensitive information, displaying a strong sense of confidentiality and ethical behavior.
**Salary and Benefits:**
The estimated annual salary for this role is AU$110,000 - AU$140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
