The energy sector is undergoing a profound shift towards renewable energy and green fuel alternatives. AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm contributing its expertise to strategically plan, develop, design and construct energy infrastructure that meets future demands while ensuring sustainable legacies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Act as Technical Lead on projects, managing delivery, verifying detailed design and monitoring project measures to ensure timely, cost-effective and high-quality results for clients.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams of engineers in a client-facing role to foster and develop relationships across various market sectors, including transmission and distribution, renewables, traction power and building services.
  • Oversee team management of secondary systems, allocating work and resources, overseeing projects and helping the team develop professionally.
  • Work with senior leadership to develop innovative solutions to clients, assisting with bids, tenders and business development activities.

Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking an experienced engineer with prior experience in managing teams or the willingness to do so. Key qualifications include:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) with RPEV (or equivalent) or ability to obtain it.
  • Technical competency and project leadership experience in Secondary System projects.
  • Knowledge of Secondary Systems and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently on projects in Protection and Control while collaborating closely with major client accounts.
  • Proven understanding of sub-transmission and distribution system protection and control Australian Standards.
