Electrical Engineer - Maintenance and Repair Specialist

As an Electrical Engineer in our maintenance and repair team, you will play a key role in planning and executing activities to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our generation assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice on engineering solutions that balance asset condition with business requirements.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns by providing timely engineering support for fault diagnosis and resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance team to provide engineering support during maintenance activities.
  • Contribute engineering expertise to condition assessments using historical data and inspections.
Your Expertise
  • Engage with operations teams to drive improvements in asset performance.
  • Support junior engineers and technical officers in their growth and development.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers to foster their skills and expertise.

For this role, we are looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer with solid experience in industrial or production environments. You should be able to think strategically, remain calm under pressure, and possess strong communication skills.

A proven track record of delivering practical and commercially sound engineering solutions is essential, along with a keen eye for detail and a focus on safety. Experience in Primary Electrical Engineering, including HV switchgear, transformers, alternators, and other electricity generation equipment, is highly valued.

This role offers a mix of site and office-based work, allowing you to work in Tasmania's stunning locations. We value flexibility and are open to discussing working arrangements to suit your needs.
