Job Role: Workplace Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator. This role involves working closely with the WHS team to deliver high standards of safety within our delivery station.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with risk assessments as required and follow-up control measures to completion.
  • Advise associates and managers on company procedures and legal requirements within the level of a Coordinator’s knowledge.
  • Monitor the delivery station for compliance with company safety procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of Regional WHS management programs at site level.
  • Assist with the investigation of incidents to establish root cause and develop required action plans with relevant processes.
  • Update internal records regarding incidents, near misses and accidents, Area Observations, Safety Inspections, pre-start records and ‘Safety Saves’.
  • Be involved in undertaking action plans to ensure continuing compliance with Legislation.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality in matters involving safety investigations.
  • Monitor Dock and Yard safety procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Carry out WHS training sessions for managers and associates as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Safety-related field or a Cert IV in Safety.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Experience in logistics or similar industry.
