Assistant Manager - Hotel Operations

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee operations and maintain a highly visible presence in Front Office and guest contact areas.
  • Review arrival lists and anticipate guest needs, maintaining active liaison with Housekeeping, Guest Relations, and Food and Beverage.
  • Meet and greet VIP guests, attend to special requests, and escort guests to rooms as directed.
  • Ensure optimum staffing levels in all areas of the hotel and address and resolve major complaints.
  • Manage emergency situations, leading the staff, responding, and conducting detailed Incident reports.
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge to explain and sell services and facilities to guests.
  • Conduct training in Security and Fire Evacuation procedures and ensure security procedures are in place for the area.
  • Manage and assist the Guest Experience Manager with publishing rosters and submitting payroll.

As an Assistant Manager at Hotel Morris, you will be part of a tight-knit team where we all pitch in and support each other. Our motto? "No job is never not my job." We're a family, and we believe in spreading joy and camaraderie while getting the job done.

Hotel Morris is a 82-room hotel opened in June 2023. We have a small team with a 'family' mentality where we help each other. The successful candidate for this role can speak English and has similar experience and a passion for making a guest smile and having a clean room and leading their own team on the weekend when our Housekeeping Manager is away or on leave.

You MUST be able to work flexible rosters and weekends.
