Pacific Industrial Company is seeking a senior accountant to lead its finance function.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with tertiary qualifications in accounting or equivalent. They should be confident working with mid-size ERP systems and troubleshooting system issues.

The successful applicant will be responsible for performing month-end close, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and related financial systems, and delivering accurate and timely month-end accounts. They will also assist in the treasury function, manage and lodge BAS, PAYG, and act as backup for the accounting and payroll functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing month-end close and reconciliations
  • Maintaining the general ledger and financial systems
  • Delivering accurate and timely month-end accounts
  • Assisting in the treasury function
  • Managing and lodging BAS, PAYG

The position requires strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally. The ideal candidate will have leadership skills with experience mentoring finance staff.
