About the OfficeAbout the roleKey Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to leaders and staff of the IT and facilities portfolio through the provision of advice, guidance, and support that is timely, valued, consistent, and responsive.
  • Improve the University's performance by providing senior leaders and stakeholders with contemporary financial management advice and solutions to support decision-making. The advice will be based on building a strong understanding of the School, Division, and Office and the priorities of these areas as well as the University's Strategic and Operational goals as relevant.
  • Proactively identify financial management challenges and guide stakeholders to assist with their decision-making and resolution.
  • Contribute to and implement a range of Finance projects, plans, tools, processes, and systems to respond to future financial management challenges.
  • Preparation of management accounts and reporting packs, monthly and annual financial statements for internal and external research reporting requirements and providing financial analysis of monthly results and business performance including being responsible for the month-end tasks relating to the areas assigned.
Qualifications, skills & experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with a CA/CPA level qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Proven experience in a complex organisation providing financial reporting, budgeting, and modelling.
  • High-level accountancy, numeracy & reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse information and compile financial reports.
