About the Role:
UGL Pty Limited is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to join our team on the Copperstring Project. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of substation sites and ensuring the successful delivery of projects according to schedule, budget, and scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of substation staff and contractors to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Coordinate with local subcontractors and landowners to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve project efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years' experience in electrical substation construction, with a minimum of 2 years as a superintendent.
- Trade qualification - AQF Certificate IV in Construction (or equivalent).
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects, with experience in planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Access.
