We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Eastern Suburbs Mental Health Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing individualized care plans that promote recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized patient care and support to consumers with complex mental health needs
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop care plans that foster recovery and well-being
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care
- Develop and implement programs to enhance consumer engagement and participation in treatment
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make adjustments as needed
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant nursing authority
- Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
- Demonstrated understanding of recovery principles and commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer, family, and carer participation and consumer-focused care
- Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver high-quality patient care in Mental Health at a postgraduate level
- Proven experience in the provision of care and assessment and management of risk within the mental health environment
