Optimize Data Center Infrastructure Management

A dynamic and challenging role in the Field Engineering Team, responsible for the entire lifecycle of AWS data centers.

As a portfolio engineer, you will lead cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency and availability of Field Engineering assets, managing global fleet-wide MEP solutions.

You will be accountable for end-to-end ownership from risk identification to global resolution, developing comprehensive standards and processes for tracking, reporting, and closure of risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage global fleet-wide MEP availability solutions across organizational boundaries.
  2. Understand technical and business components of availability solutions to drive alignment and implementation plans.
  3. Accountable for end-to-end ownership from risk identification to global resolution.
  4. Develop comprehensive standards and processes for tracking, reporting, and closure of risks.

A typical day involves leading teams to optimize the Field Engineering portfolio, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve complex issues, and driving continuous improvement through innovation and strategic planning.

Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering or project management in Mission Critical facilities.
  3. Experience working with global portfolios/programs and cross-functional teams.
