Job Description:
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for complex CNC machines and subassemblies. You will be responsible for troubleshooting production issues, implementing rapid problem resolution strategies, and maintaining standard operating procedures, assembly instructions, and production documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical assembly processes for complex CNC machines and subassemblies.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement rapid problem resolution strategies.
  • Maintain and enhance standard operating procedures, assembly instructions, and production documentation.
  • Collaborate on assembly line layout and workstation design improvements to enhance efficiency and ergonomics.
  • Coordinate with Design Engineering to ensure new products are manufacturable and assembly-ready.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects targeting cost reduction, defect reduction, and productivity enhancements.
  • Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize assembly flow and efficiency.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering principles, coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a genuine interest in leadership development. Candidates should be ready to take on challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering role, demonstrating process improvement and technical leadership.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in Victoria.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, and automation.
