Job Description

About this role

  • We are partnering with a highly respected defence SME at the forefront of complex systems development to recruit an experienced Security Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, multi-disciplinary environments and is confident navigating Defence security frameworks.

The successful candidate will lead the organisation's defence security strategy, policies, and compliance under DISP, DSPF, PSPF, and ISM.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all security governance activities, including physical, personnel, ICT, and information security;
  • Maintaining and securing classified zones, facilities, and networks in collaboration with internal stakeholders;
  • Overseeing ITAR/export control compliance, security risk assessments, and secure material handling;
  • Coordinating internal security training and audits and maintaining security documentation;
  • Managing and supporting facility maintenance and infrastructure changes.

Job Responsibilities include managing organisational security and implementing compliance measures. The security manager must maintain security protocols and oversee threat assessment.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Defence or Defence Industry environment
  • Proven ability to navigate complex security frameworks
  • Leadership skills required for managing cross-functional teams
  • Able to implement strategic security plans and achieve goals
