Subject Coordinator Role Overview

Hume Anglican Grammar seeks a Subject Coordinator to lead the scope and sequence of the academic program, providing expert advice to teachers within their area of responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of contemporary teaching and learning practices, extensive experience in their area, and a passion for promoting a safe, challenging, and inspirational environment.

Job Description

A Subject Coordinator plays a critical role in developing a positive culture across the school community, drawing links between teaching and learning and improved learning outcomes. They guide the delivery of a relevant, stimulating, and effective teaching program, encouraging a learning ethos and maintaining a high-performance culture of continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and fostering a positive and productive learning climate for staff and students, while promoting teaching and learning as the core business of the School.

They will work in close collaboration with fellow Subject Coordinators, Heads of Curriculum, and Head of Learning Enhancement, ensuring seamless communication and a cohesive approach to curriculum development.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Education degree or higher, as well as current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

Experience in a similar role, combined with a deep understanding of curriculum design and implementation, is highly desirable.
