Job Title: Kitchen Support Assistant

This position is responsible for providing support in food preparation, cooking and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare meals and snacks daily according to set menu plans.
  • Kitchen Hygiene: Ensure timely and high-quality food preparation while adhering to food hygiene and dietary guidelines.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain the kitchen area, including equipment, appliances, and utensils.
  • Stock Management: Assist with weekly stock-taking and ordering.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain high-quality standards of health and hygiene within the workplace.
Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a kitchen hand or in a childcare setting (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Hospitality and/or Commercial Cookery (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time, tasks, and priorities effectively.
  • Certifications: Valid Working with Children Check and Food Handling Certificate; First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
