  • A PhD in protein biochemistry, structural biology or relevant fields with an exceptional publication record.
  • Extensive experience in biochemical and biophysical techniques, specifically in expressing and purifying large multi-subunit protein complexes and analysing them through in vitro methods.
  • Familiarity with cryo-EM sample preparation, data collection, computational analysis, and 3D structure determination of protein macromolecules.
  • Knowledge of cellular tomography workflows for EM analysis of cells and tissues (highly advantageous).

We are a dynamic team working within the South Australian immunoGENomics Cancer Institute. Our research is well-supported by a substantial start-up package as well as external grants from the Australian Research Council and the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council.

The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art facilities at Adelaide Microscopy, including multiple transmission electron microscopes such as a Glacios200 kV Cryo-TEM. Additionally, resources available include the Phoenix high-performance computing facility, Bragg Crystallography facility, and Adelaide Proteomics Centre.
