
Young People Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a qualified professional to provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of young people and families accessing our service within a community-based mental health care setting.
- Providing high-standard assessments, psychological, counselling and therapeutic interventions
- Opportunities to run group programs
- Liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders
This role requires a multidisciplinary approach, collaborating with relevant service systems to respond appropriately to the mental health and developmental needs of young people.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience providing clinical services to young people (12-25 years) and possess well-developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding of assessment and care planning.
- Must have General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist OR Mental Health Nurse OR AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
- Sound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs in a community setting
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness
