Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of electrical designs for power distribution, motor control, protection systems and lighting in industrial and commercial installations.
  • Oversee preparation of detailed drawings, schematics, cable schedules, and documentation using electrical CAD software.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, client specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintain design quality through adherence to company procedures, peer reviews, and design checks.
  • Conduct and review electrical studies, including load flow, fault level, arc flash, and voltage drop analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8–10 years' experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in mining, oil & gas, utilities, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of LV and HV electrical systems, equipment specifications, and design practices.
  • Proficient in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, or PowerTools.
  • Sound understanding of relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage design deliverables across multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Current Australian working rights – Citizen / PR or Eligible Visa.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ / RPEV).
