We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team at ESE Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the company's continued success.
About the Role:The General Manager will be responsible for leading our sales and operational growth initiatives, while maintaining a strong focus on profitability and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven individual with a passion for business development and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Prioritize delivering results such as increased sales and profitability over rigid adherence to processes.
- Focus on generating revenue, expanding the client base, and achieving business growth in tangible ways.
- Collaborate with the owner to implement growth strategies in the automotive and industrial tools markets.
- Identify opportunities for new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
- Play a central role in growing sales, particularly in the automotive and industrial sectors.
- Oversee daily business operations, ensuring they run efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Be a thinker and a doer, actively involved in the daily functions of the business.
- Provide strong, hands-on leadership, fostering a company culture that aligns with the business's values of humility, commitment, and genuine care for its success.
- Foster a client-centric approach, focusing on growing the company's client base in the automotive and industrial tools markets, while maintaining excellent relationships with key customers.
- A strong track record in sales and business development, with the ability to grow a small yet profitable business through real, tangible results.
- Experience in the automotive or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
- A focus on delivering measurable results (sales and profitability) rather than focusing on maintaining processes for the sake of it.
- A willingness to take ownership of challenges and lead from the front.
- A commitment to a long-term role, with the goal of taking over as General Manager, allowing the current owner to step back over time.
- Experience working in or managing a family-owned business is highly desirable, as is the ability to maintain the company's values and approach while contributing fresh perspectives.
