Our Maintenance Team is seeking a highly skilled Trade Qualified Fitter and Turner to join us in Mount Gambier, South Australia.

Job Description

We are looking for a candidate who can safely and efficiently carry out repair and preventative maintenance work across our sawmill site. The successful applicant will be responsible for reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor and working effectively as part of our team.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritise and act with urgency, and a professional attitude. We encourage good work-life balance and have industry-leading training and employee development programs.

As a Trade Qualified Fitter and Turner, you will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines.

Requirements
  • Hold a valid fitter and turner trade qualification
  • Have experience in maintenance fitting & machining work or relevant trade experience
  • Be able to prioritise & act with a sense of urgency to achieve plant uptime targets
  • Have good problem-solving skills
  • Be able to work effectively independently or in a team
  • Are willing to continually learn
Benefits

Starting hourly rates of $39.67 per hour (Classification MGMC7), with development opportunities available to progress to $44.46 per hour (Classification MGMC5).

15% shift loading is additional on afternoon shift, 30% shift loading is additional on night shift.

Work Arrangements

Two Role/Shift Rotation Options Available:

  • Greenmill Area Fitter: Rotating day and afternoon shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday)
  • Workshop Fitter: Rotating day, afternoon and night shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)

Weekend work and shift coverage may be required.
