As a highly skilled Utility Analyst, you will play a key role in optimising energy and water consumption across our portfolio of over 1,000 sites.You will analyse data, provide insights and recommendations to reduce costs and drive sustainability goals.This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work from home two days a week and in the office three days a week.Key Responsibilities
  • Utility Connections and Analysis: Monitor changes in utility rates, tariffs, and regulations to assess their impact on costs and operations.
  • Troubleshoot issues around energy and water billing.
  • Conduct rate analysis to identify potential cost-savings.
  • Manage connections and disconnection of utility services across the large property portfolio.
Data Analysis
  • Analyse and validate utility data, including energy and water bills, consumption patterns, and rates.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and potential areas for improvement in utility consumption and costs.
Energy Conservation and Efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and make recommendations to optimise energy efficiency across facilities.
  • Collaborate with the operations team and other stakeholders to understand drivers behind utility usage.
Sustainability Reporting
  • Compile data for sustainability reporting, highlighting energy/water savings.
  • Analyse and interpret sustainability metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate utility data collection and reporting.
  • Communicate with utility representatives and other stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Finance or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information.
  • Proficiency in extracting and analysing large data sets.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Knowledge of Australia's utility markets is essential. Proficiency in utility billing systems and software is preferred but not essential.
