**Job Overview**

Darwin-based construction company is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee contract administration and procurement activities, ensuring commercial and contractual obligations are met and risks are effectively managed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and commercial project delivery, with expertise in managing contract negotiations, claims, variations, and dispute resolution. They should also be skilled in financial controls, reporting, and contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle from tender to execution and finalisation
  • Lead contract negotiations, administration of claims, variations, and final accounts
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives and timelines
  • Coordinate tender documentation preparation, evaluation, and award of subcontract packages
  • Maintain accurate contract records and support financial reporting and audits
  • Work closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and legal advisors
  • Provide leadership and support to team members
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or postgraduate qualification in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior contracts management role within the construction industry
  • Strong working knowledge of head and subcontract agreements, construction law, and procurement processes
  • Proficient in Jobpac, Microsoft Office, and construction management tools
  • Well-organised, with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
