The Accounts Receivable Role

As an Accounts Receivable Officer with Amana Living, you will play a critical role in supporting the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer in managing the financial operations of our organization. Your responsibilities will include interacting with management, staff, residents, and their families, as well as visiting health professionals and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer resident accounts in our system, update accounts when fees change, finalize resident accounts, and refund overpaid fees and accommodation payments if applicable.
  • Billing of fees and ad-hoc charges on a fortnightly and monthly basis.
  • Maintain and process direct debits, and follow up rejected direct debits.
  • Process payments over the phone and receipt payments.
  • Authorize admissions, discharges, and send online notifications to Medicare.
  • Monitor dashboard for admissions and discharges, and rectify and re-submit if necessary.
  • Resolve account queries and investigate irregularities.
  • Respond to general AR-related queries.
  • Provide backup for the team as required.
  • Assist with debt collection.
  • General duties including correspondence, filing, and other tasks as advised by the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Officer who possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and high-level organizational and time management skills. You should have the ability to use initiative and respond to situations as they arise, with superior written and verbal communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills. You should also be able to work independently and as a member of a team, and be committed to the development of your professional skills.

Essential Criteria:

  • Evidence of COVID-19 and current flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance within 6 months of validity.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks.
