About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to join our team as a Senior Training and Review Officer. This is a part-time, fixed-term contract until 20 September 2025, based in Seaton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored trauma training to foster carers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to children and young people.
  • Conduct carer reviews, assessing their competencies and identifying areas for development.
  • Work with the Assessment Manager and other team members to develop and implement training programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to foster carers, helping them to navigate complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
  • Social Work degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in child protection, trauma-responsive care, and supporting children with high and complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic approaches and trauma-informed practice.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Placement Principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, building strong relationships with carers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
